About Me

I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. I have always loved to draw horses and animals as I’ve always had such a fascination for them. To this day I’m just as enthusiastic when starting a new piece of animal art. In my opinion a piece of art featuring an animal is like no other. When you capture the spirit of an animal within a painting, they have the ability to come alive.

I have clients all over the UK and have sold work internationally. I am originally from Yorkshire but have lived in Lincolnshire since my first day at the University of Lincoln some 17 years ago. I graduated with a degree in Equine Sport Science and since then I have become so fond of the stunning Lincolnshire countryside that I have chosen to call it my home. I now live in a quiet village called Bassingham with my husband Andrew and our dog 'Sweep' a English Cocker Spaniel.

It was only fitting that I transferred my love for the countryside and skill for drawing animals, combined with my equine background, into to a passion for creating animal portraits, which I have been doing professionally since 2016.

As a self-taught multiskilled artist, my commission work sees me predominantly working with pastels. However, I am also experienced in working with oil and acrylic paints, graphite pencils and watercolours.

Using these mediums, I endeavour to capture the true essence of your much loved pet, in a high quality and timeless piece of art that you will cherish for many years and generations.
